TextLoop
A text-message reminder app, inspired by the way I was already using the iPhone's Send Later feature.

Why I started it
Have you ever gotten a notification for a reminder you set, then swiped it away and ignored it? Well, I do.
I found out that I have ADHD in 2026, and I’ve learned a lot about myself from that. For one thing, I realized that I struggled with keeping up with reminders. I had already tried using the Reminders app, scheduling calendar events, and downloading various reminder or habit-tracking apps, but I’d either ignore the notifications or get overwhelmed letting the reminders stack up and never closing them.
You know what I don’t ignore though? Texts. Every time I got a text regarding an upcoming appointment, I’d keep it unread, and I wouldn’t forget when it was. So, when I found out the Send Later feature existed for iMessage, I started asking my boyfriend to schedule texts for me to remember things. I realized that I didn’t need all the fancy stuff, I just needed something as simple as that. I know Messages isn’t really supposed to be used for this, but it worked for me. I wished I could just send them myself though.
That’s why I started building TextLoop!
What I want it to do
The idea is pretty simple: write a reminder, choose when you want it, and get a text. I don’t want another app that needs a lot of managing just to remind me of something. And if I miss a reminder, I want an easy way to ask for it again. I don’t want to feel guilty for missing them, ignoring them, or forgetting about them, and I don’t want them to stack up and make me feel bad.
I eventually want it to be as simple as sending a text asking for a reminder to be scheduled, then it comes back to me when it’s time, but for now the goal is just to be able to receive texts. Unfortunately that means it’s going to start with a UI where you manage the reminders, but I’m going to try to keep it simple!
TextLoop is still in development.
