A LITTLE ABOUT ME
About me
Growing up, I thought I would become a teacher or a psychologist.
I was fascinated by how people think, how two people can see the same situation differently, and how much the way we explain something matters. I still am, even though my career ended up taking a different direction.
I studied Computer Science through the College of Engineering at The University of Alabama, graduating in 2023. My early programming foundation was in C++. I loved being able to write Assembly and see a circuit respond, or write Python that could pull information from a website. Cryptography really caught my interest, too. There was so much I wanted to explore, and those are still subjects I'd love to spend more time with as I grow beyond the work I've done so far.
Working at startups has given me a chance to be involved in the whole process, including customer conversations, product decisions, development, and testing. At Vendidit, I talked with customers and watched warehouse employees try our product for the first time. Seeing what made sense to them, and what didn't, gave me a different understanding of what needed to change.
That part of development really interests me. I like working through what someone is trying to do, questioning an approach, and thinking about what a change will mean elsewhere in the product. When I built a configurable CSV exporter, for example, different marketplaces needed different formats. A single export button wouldn't solve that, so sellers could save templates with their own field mappings and headers.
Now I'm one of two developers working on Mint Shelf, an auction marketplace. We're working on a problem we saw in reverse logistics: how much time goes into gathering product information, organizing photos, and creating listings before an item can even be sold. I want to help make that process easier for the people doing it.
I'm eager to grow my career and turn this experience into deeper technical ability. I want to keep challenging myself, take on more complex work, and learn alongside experienced engineers. That desire to keep improving is a big part of my personal life, too. I care about understanding myself better, being open to other perspectives, and following through when I see something I can do better.
Psychology and mental health are still personal interests, and I'd love to work on software for mental health or education one day. For now, understanding the person using what I'm building is already a part of the work I enjoy.
And the sunset here is personal, too. I love photographing sunsets from the beach, especially with fluffy clouds, birds flying low over the water, and the way the light reflects across it. I wanted this site to feel a little like being there.

- Serve as one of two developers building and launching an early-stage marketplace for desktop and mobile web using TypeScript, React Native, and Expo.
- Conducted a pre-launch product review that identified 43 functional, accessibility, and usability defects; resolved 27 across authentication, fulfillment, seller locations, and listing workflows.
- Own search and discovery across product listings, seller profiles, grouped inventory, and timed auctions, including autocomplete, responsive filters, navigation, and result consistency.
- Build buyer and seller workflows for grouped listings, timed auctions, embedded Stripe checkout, notifications, SMS alerts, and multi-location seller operations.

- Designed and implemented a reusable Laravel/Filament CSV export system that replaced manual marketplace formatting with user-defined templates, configurable field mappings, custom headers, and multiple export modes.
- Built a production-ready Shopify public app integration with OAuth, required webhooks, product publishing, and order synchronization; maintained scheduled integrations with Walmart, eBay, Amazon, and Meta.
- Implemented usage, cost, and profitability monitoring for AI and external APIs by extending logging schemas and building aggregation logic used in an internal reporting dashboard.

- Collaborated on a five-person intern team that delivered six internal applications, exceeding program expectations and consolidating fragmented legacy workflows into a centralized operational dashboard.
- Developed Java backend components, including services, controllers, repositories, and database integrations, then transitioned to Angular frontend development to deliver forms and full-stack workflows.
- Independently learned the team’s unit-testing practices and taught the other engineering interns how to implement tests across the project.
