About Me

Growing up, I thought I would become a teacher or a psychologist. I have always been fascinated by how people think, how perspective shapes behavior, and how communication changes outcomes. That curiosity never went away. It simply found a different outlet in software engineering.

I found tech by accident. Senior year of high school, I was placed into AP Computer Science thinking it would be something like biology. Instead, it introduced me to JavaScript, color theory, logic, and a kind of problem solving that made time disappear. I stayed after class to learn how to program a small robot, aced the course, scored a 4 on the AP exam, and realized I genuinely loved building things. That was when I knew this was more than just another class.

I studied Computer Science in the College of Engineering at The University of Alabama, where I built a strong technical foundation in C++, machine language, hardware systems, Java, Python, SQL, cryptography, and even some graphic design. During my final semester, I interned at Altec Industries on a five person Agile team and contributed to six full stack web applications using Java and AngularJS.

After graduating in December 2023, I joined Vendidit, a startup where I worked as a Junior Software Engineer. There, I built Laravel based tools for marketplace integrations, developed a configurable CSV export system, created a Shopify embedded app with OAuth and React, and implemented internal AI usage tracking to monitor LLM costs. Working in a startup environment gave me exposure to the full product lifecycle, from early user conversations to shipping production features.

At my core, I am a backend leaning engineer who values clean architecture, thoughtful systems, and solving real problems. I am detail oriented and motivated by impact. I do my best work when I am building something that genuinely helps people.

I am currently seeking a hybrid role in Southern Connecticut or a remote opportunity where I can contribute strong backend fundamentals, product awareness, and a people centered mindset to a team building meaningful software.
